Tatiana Bravo, Assistant Vice President of Rio Bank, provides all of her customers Your Kind of Banker customer care. Tatiana has her degree in Marketing & Advertising from the University of Texas Pan American. She keeps extremely busy in our community attending this years Leadership McAllen Class, board member on CAMP University, member of the McAllen Rotary Club, Salvation Army and an active participant with all Rio Bank non-profit projects. In her time away from the bank Tatiana trains in Cross-fit and enjoys flying & riding motorcycles with her Dad.

Danny VelaDanny Vela Receives TAMACC Man of the Year Award
Danny Vela, R. Ph. has been chosen as the 2013 Business Man of the Year by the Texas Association of Mexican American Chambers of Commerce (TAMACC). A McAllen native and accomplished local businessman, Danny is owner of Lees Pharmacy in McAllen and has served as a Member of the Rio Bank Board of Directors for the last 14 years. This prestigious award was presented to Mr. Vela during the Chairmans Gala and Award Banquet at the TAMACCs 38th Annual Convention and Business Expo in Houston. The event was held at the Westin Galleria Hotel on Friday, October 4, 2013. Mr. Velas selection for this award was made from among numerous nominations submitted by various local Chambers of Commerce. His nomination was made through the Rio Grande Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce here in McAllen. All of us at Rio Bank congratulate Danny on this much-deserved recognition.

Ford SasserFord Sasser Appointed to Public Member of State Bar of Texas
Ford Sasser has been appointed as one of the public members of the State Bar of Texas. The appointment comes by virtue of an order of the Supreme Court of Texas made upon a recommendation by Governor Rick Perry. Mr. Sasser will serve a three-year term on the Board with his term expiring on June 30, 2016. In acknowledging the appointment, Mr. Sasser stated, "It is indeed an honor to be asked to serve in this capacity. The State Bar of Texas is a prestigious group and certainly plays an important role in our society. I have graciously accepted the appointment and will give my best efforts to my tenure as a Board member." Mr. Sasser has been involved in professional association volunteer work for many years. He has previously served two different terms as a member of the Board of Diredtors of the Texas Bankers Association and is the current Chairman of the Board of Directors of the McAllen Economic Development Corporation.

When Lloyd Molina takes a break as Branch President of the Brownsville Rio Bank, you might find him at the Aquatic Center swimming...or, you might find him pursuing one of his other hobbies as an avid cook or as a very creative gardener. A graduate of Schreiner College in Kerrville, Texas, Lloyd gives back to the community by serving on the Board of Directors for Brownsville Economic Development, Community Development Corporation of Brownsville, Brownsville Historical Association, and Business Development Fund of Texas. His memberships include Sunrise Rotary, Palm Society of South Texas, and Head Cook on the Rio Bank Cooking Team.

Besides being the Branch President of the Weslaco Banking Center, this Weslaco native keeps very active beyond his financial duties. Brian serves on the Board of Directors for the Weslaco Chamber of Commerce, Knapp Community Care Foundation, and the Weslaco Pride Foundation. Brian is an avid outdoorsman and has recently begun competing in triathlons.

When Rick Perez isnt fulfilling his responsibilities as Branch President of Rio Bank in Palmview, you can find him hunting. Rick has been an avid hunter for over 25 years and a darn good one at that. Rick is also involved in community organizations such as being a board member of HCRMA (Hidalgo County Rural Mobility Authority), Palmview Chamber of Commerce, La Joya Economic Development and Peitas re-investment zone.

Ford Sasser, President of Rio Bank, wears a lot of hats. If hes not wearing a cowboy hat, he is most likely wearing a white ball cap. One of Fords extra-curricular activities is refereeing college football games. I guess you could say this graduate of Texas A&M might be considered the 12th man on the fieldthe spirit of readiness for service. Besides his love for football, Ford and his wife Abbie are very involved with C.A.M.P. University.

Besides working full time as Executive Vice President & Cashier of Rio Bank, Craig K. Lewis keeps very busy in the community. This Canadian born lad still administers, plays, coaches and referees local ice hockey and is also an avid cook. He just completed a series of classes at the McAllen Culinary Academy under the tutelage of Chef Marcel Fortuin.
