Digital Wallets for Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and Google Pay

Digital Wallets are digital versions of your debit cards stored in an app on your mobile device or other smart device.  To protect you and your card information, the card number and personal information are not actually stored on the phone.  Your card number is only used to set up your digital wallet. A digital wallet allows you to make purchases with your phone, instead of your physical debit card. When you want to make a purchase in a store, Digital Wallets use near field communication (NFC) technology to allow you to pay for purchases without handing over your debit card. Which usually involve opening your Digital Wallet app and then holding your device over the payment reader.  It’s literally as easy as touching your phone to the payment terminal to make your purchase.  Interactive Video Player

Apple Pay®

You can use your Apple devices to pay in stores and within apps with a single touch. This mobile payment system uses your device to make payments on NFC-enabled credit card terminals at the point of sale, as well as via apps and online.  In addition, you can send and receive money from friends and family within iMessages.

Samsung Pay

Using Samsung devices, you can pay in stores and within apps; however, unlike other digital wallets, Samsung Pay can be used with most point-of-sale (POS) systems because it works not only with NFC, but also with standard magnetic-stripe retail terminals featuring MST (Magnetic Secure Transmission) and EMV readers, currently used for traditional and chip-based credit card transactions.

Google Pay

Google Pay is the digital wallet service on Android phones that combines the peer-to-peer payments in Google Wallet with the tap-to-pay functionality of Android Pay. Working in conjunction with retailers and financial institutions, Google Pay stores your debit card, letting you make quick payments with supported point-of-sale (POS) systems at retail outlets, as well as via apps and online.
